Connie Wanek has been writing since her hand could hold a pencil. She is the author of three books of poetry, most recently On Speaking Terms from Copper Canyon Press (2010), and a small book of prose, Summer Cars. United States Poet Laureate, Ted Kooser, named her a Witter Bynner Fellow of the Library of Congress in 2006.
